Originally from a small town in Ohio, Bailey began her dance training at the age of 2 1/2 years old. At the age of 13, she moved to California to continue training as well as teaching at her Uncle’s dance studio in Irvine. She graduated from the Orange County High School of the Arts in the Commercial Dance conservatory. At 17, she joined the hip hop dance company Mavyn Entertainment where she where she learned and developed much of her hip hop style. After high school, Bailey did several dance gigs, performing at events and as a back up dancer for local artists. In addition to that she began teaching at competitive dance studios where she created many high scoring routines and specialty awards including “Best Choreography” and “Most Entertaining”. Bailey first got the opportunity to teach at Beach Cities Dance studio in 2010 and she immediately felt at home. She loves her BCDS family and couldn’t ask for a better work environment. Her most recent venture is producing and choreographing for the show she created in February 2014, Loose Cannons, where she takes pride in giving talented choreographers the opportunity to bring their artistic visions to life and network their way to bigger and better things in their dance careers.
Heather has over 20 years of dance training with almost 10 years of teaching experience. She began her training at Daria Bearden where she trained under Victor & Tatiana Kasatsky, Hanna Karacic, and Laurie Persh. She went on to join the Classical Dance Conservatory for Middle School at the Orange County High School of the Arts. For her high school years she transferred to OCHSA’S Commercial Dance Department where she graduated in class of 2008. She is currently a work-study at IDA in Los Angeles and a student at Cal State Fullerton. With a Zumba certificate and experience working with High School Dance teams, such as Century High School, her choreography style varies as far as her students ambitions (ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical/contemporary & hip-hop).
Kelela grew up dancing, performing and doing professional musical theater and she is trained in many styles of dance including hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, modern and ballet. She was a competitive dancer through high school receiving many awards in the solo division including making it to finals in West Coast Elite and USA competitions. Kelela has performed in many venues and she was a seasonal parade dancer in Knotts Berry Farm’s holiday parade. In college she was awarded the James Nicholas Plumb Memorial Award and Scholarship for choreography in 2012 and 2013. Her choreography was chosen as a finalist in the Choreography Under the Stars dance festival in Palm Desert and made it into the MixMatch Dance Festival as well. Kelela is currently a head coach of the Fountain Valley High School Dance Team and they have won numerous awards including a state title in Hip-hop. She continues to choreograph for various events, most recently the 3rd Annual Statewide Arts Education Convention with Keynote speaker Nigel Lythgoe and the Fashion Island Paseo Party. She has also choreographed for school groups such as Los Alamitos High School Show Choir and Lexington Junior High Dance. She is currently finishing her degree in Sports and Health Sciences.
